During its 30th anniversary show, Control International Trade Fair for Quality Assurance attracted over 26,000 visitors from 92 countries. It presented an excellent opportunity to witness and discuss the trends, including the increasing demand for 3D imaging solutions, in the fields of inspection and quality assurance. A primary goal of The Imaging Source is to support its customers in the creation of their own machine vision systems and a variety of powerful imaging hardware was on display in support of this such as the USB 3.0 and GigE industrial cameras featuring the Sony Pregius sensor.
Trade show officials reported increased interest in the role played by quality assurance in the continuing growth of IoT. In keeping with its "highly practical presentation of hardware and software for industrial quality assurance" and emphasis on real-world solutions, Control organizers and the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) successfully launched the "Control Vision Talks" whose attendance numbers far exceeded expectations. The presentations informed trade show visitors of the benefits, applications and methods available to them via machine vision and optical metrology in factory automation. Many thanks to Control organizers for a very successful show.
