In the November 19, 2002 edition of our newsletter, we took a look at the Dxx 21F04 family of cameras. Learn more: Cameras. This family is based on one monochrome camera (DMx 21F04) and two color cameras (DFx 21F04 and DBx 21F04). Many of you asked us discuss in more detail the differences between these two color types. Basically, the DFx 21F04 is a color camera - just as you would expect. The DBx 21F04, on the other hand, is a special version for measurement applications. Using this camera, it is possible to differentiate between the smallest difference in color. Such color precision is necessary when, for example, glass bottles are to be sorted at a glass recycling station or when difference red shades are to be recognized in blood analysis.
