The Imaging Source can offer reduced pricing on polarization cameras featuring Sony's Polarsens™ 5.1 MP global-shutter monochrome image sensors (IMX250MZR). Available with either a USB 3.0 or GigE interface, the cameras start at EUR 1092 (tiered pricing available) while supplies last. The sensors' on-chip polarization filters capture visual data which cannot be obtained via standard CMOS sensors, enabling the visualization of material stress and surface scratches, reduction of unwanted glare, as well as improved edge detection and enhanced contrast in low-contrast materials. |
